How does the competition work?
The competition is designed to fit all students in middle school and focuses on awakening their curiosity and problem-solving skills. Our goal is to create a positive experience around mathematics and show that the subject can be both fun and rewarding at the same time as we select students who find school mathematics simple and offer them a real challenge.
The competition is free to participate in and the test is written for 60 minutes during ordinary lesson time. All participants will receive a diploma and the ten best individually and the best class receive additional prizes.
Before the test, there will be a number of exercises with focus on developing students' problem-solving skills. These can be included in the lesson before the competition.
We will offer two competitions every year, one in spring and one later in autumn.
